For over 20 years, Hickory Hall Polo Club has provided a unique, family-focused social and sporting venue helping raise money and awareness for local organizations. The Orchard School is grateful to have been chosen as a 2024 Polo at Sunset beneficiary, and together with our assigned partner organization, the Indiana Ballet Conservatory, we can't wait to host this event!

Kick-off Labor Day Weekend celebrating the end of summer and beginning of a new school year at Orchard's largest fundraiser of the year! Pack your picnic baskets and coolers, grab your chairs and tailgate items, and join us for this family friendly event that will include an airplane candy drop at the half, a wine/bourbon pull, and stick pony races following the match. Experience the exciting sport of polo while having fun with family and friends in support of Orchard's students and teachers.
 
Tickets are on sale now! General admission tickets are $40 per carload and provide entry to the venue and tailgate spots on a first come, first served basis along the east sideline. Sponsorships are also available in support of Orchard and provide an opportunity for promotion of your business and the benefits of a reserved, VIP tailgate location along the west sideline.

  • WHY POLO?

    For over 20 years, Hickory Hall Polo Club has provided a unique, family-focused social and sporting venue allowing select non-profit organizations to raise money and awareness through Polo at Sunset events each Friday evening in June through September.

    The Orchard School is grateful to have been chosen as a 2024 host, along with our assigned partner organization the Indiana Ballet Conservatory, for Polo at Sunset on August 30, 2024.

    TIMES:
    5:00 PM Gates open
     
    5:00-6:00 PM Family-friendly tailgating and mingling with friends-pack your coolers and picnic baskets, bring your blankets and camp chairs (no concessions on site - outside food and beverages, including alcoholic, are welcome and encouraged)
     
    Gates close at 6PM for the safety of players and spectators so arrive early to secure your tailgate spot and catch all of the action!
     
    6PM Match begins and consists of 4-6 chukkars (7 minute segments of play)
  • SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

    Sponsorship opportunities are available and provide the benefits of a reserved, VIP tailgate location along the west sideline.

  • STICK PONY RACES FOLLOWING THE MATCH

    Get out on the field and experience the thrill on your own stick pony! Following the match there will be stick pony races for age 3 through grade 8.
     
    Stick ponies will be available for sale at Back to School Bash and at the event or register your child to make their own custom pony at a Stick Pony Party in the Orchard Makerspace on Wednesday, August 7th or Monday August 19th from 3:30-5:00PM.
     
  • WINE/BOURBON PULL

    Please consider supporting our event by donating bottles of wine valued at $20 or more or bottles of bourbon valued at $40 or more. You may bring them to the Polo at Sunset table at Back to School Bash or drop them off at the front desk anytime during regular building hours 8:00 AM - 6:00PM Monday through Friday beginning August 1st.
