Planned Giving
Planned and deferred gifts are the foundation for Orchard’s endowment and the long-term financial stability of The Orchard School.
The Gordon H. Thompson Society
In 1995, as part of the 75 th anniversary celebration, The Orchard School launched a planned giving society in honor of Gordon H. Thompson, Orchard’s venerable Headmaster for 45 years. Mr. T., a name synonymous with Orchard, loved and shepherded the school, and helped it flourish into one of the nation’s leading child-centered, progressive schools.

Why Planned Giving?
- A planned gift to Orchard provides a perpetual benefit to the school, its students and its teachers.
- Planned giving can allow you to meet lifetime personal and family financial obligations.
- Including Orchard in your estate plans can often enable a far more significant contribution than might otherwise be possible.
- Planning with the school ensures that your gift will match your needs and be used only as you intended.
